Rick Fairchild
Rick Fairchild is a native Texan who is passionate about cooking and the traditional cowboy culture. He began his journey into catering in 1998 working part time out of his home in Dallas feeding the local high school football team. He began cooking on the chuck wagon in 2007 where he cooked on several large, historic ranches throughout the state. After moving to Hunt in 2012, he started Double Wells Wagon and Catering with his authentic 1880’s chuck wagon that was a gift from his wife and children. He still resides in Hunt Texas with his wife of 44 years, Julie, who helps on the wagon. They have four adult children, three wonderful daughters-in-law and one amazing son-in-law with eleven grandkids who he loves to spoil.

Julie Fairchild
Born in Kerrville, Julie is a lifelong Texan. She grew up in small Texas towns, but spent most of her career building a niche public relations company based in Dallas that she still owns. Her food and beverage experience includes positions as catering director and marketing director for the Crescent Club and Spa in Dallas. After raising her family in Dallas, Julie and Rick moved to the Hill Country in 2012, where they reside today. Her husband says he was born 100 years too late as he loved the cowboy life. Julie and their kids bought Rick a chuckwagon which he lovingly restored. She enjoys spending time on the chuck wagon, and traveling with family and friends, especially at the beach.
